DRY COMAL WINERY - TEXAS HILL COUNTRY VINEYARDS
"Life is too short to drink cheap wine"
Here are some of the pictures and information we gathered while visiting
the winery. Allen invited us out to
see the property and also for a grand tour of the Vineyard.
This Vineyard and Winery would be a great place for your next Venue
or Wedding. The property is beautiful and the
Dry Comal Creek Vineyards is the perfect place to have your next
private wine tasting, wedding, corporate function or special party.
They can seat up to 100 people for dinner on our covered patio and
can accommodate 40 people inside our banquet room.
Please contact Sabrina or call 830-885-4076 for rental fees and available dates.
Go on a Tour ! Visit the Tasting Room ! and be sure to take home
your own bottle of Texas Wine
Allen Swaney also a huge collection of artifacts that he will gracious enough to show us. He also happens to be the manager!
Many points of great interest including Paleo but my previous life's
interest in fossils got he better
of me. I homed in on this big Friday Blade. FOUR fossil snails are
cut right down the middle.
What did the original knapper think they were ?
( and how did they get all the snails to sit in one direction while
the flint was hardening up ?)
The Vineyard owner also has a collection of real conquistador age
swords. Great martini olive stabbers !
Different interesting sights on the vineyard tour impress differently.
I liked the "ceiling fan" in the outdoor pavilion.
Each blade is 7 feet long. Those with big screen monitors should
be interested in the manufacturers name for the fan. ( it's 3 words )
Every body's favorite part of the tour. . . Ye olde vin tasting
chamber
I'm quite happy just to sip up the dregs in the bottom of the vat.
