This are all finds from the rather large pit that was found to be
undug. This area
was dozed, as I was told the story, 25+ years ago. I quess
they had to put the dirt from the
original dig someplace! We have found MANY areas here to be
undug , looked over.
I quess we are the cleanup crew then!
These are from the last 2 weeks including older pictures and the
messy rainy weekend that
we all had.. I stayed in and stayed warm.. The boys went to play
in the mudd!!!!!!!
Thought that you all might get a kick out of some of the things
diggers do to gather arrowheads
If Hal isn't a diehard.. Then no one is .. Here are a few from the
rainy week that we had and he was getting
cabin fever and had to try.. WHATTA MESS!!!!!!!!!!
Here is poor hal just soaked to the core! It didn't stop raining in
him all day.
I am sure that his boots weighed 10 lbs each! What a die hard!!!
Here is the same messy wet day at the POD.. Hal was nice enough to
hang a big ol' plastic tarp over
Dan's area for him to dig out of the rain .. Just like a bear protecting
him cubs! Hal is the best as always!!
Here is a little look at the hash rock layer of the fire pit. You have
to get through it to get to the good stuff, but
as always there sometimes are things to be found in there as well.
Here is a little insitu misplaced base for example.
This is the updated Insitu shot of this great big ol' Comanche Perd
in the wall about 3.5 ft under ground.
It was muddy and a mess.. Look at my boots!!!!!!!!!!
Whatta Blade!!!!!!!!!! This one needed its who line so here it is!!!!!!
This drill was found in 2 pieces.. Just inches apart by Hal.. HE
WAS STOKED!!!!!!!!!!
That kinda stuff just doesn't happen to us ! Way to go HAL!!!
Yall might have already seen this one.. From the same area but not
in the pit
